So my bf said that he is quitting smoking cigarettes.. I am very proud and have lots of faith in him but I’m scared of the side effects he will get like moodiness ect. He is 24 yrs old. What are some ways i can help him through this. He is going to get Nicorette gum today.. what are some other tips that i can do to help him through this time and what are some good tips for him. Well, if you smoke (it doesn’t sound like you do though from your question) don’t smoke around him! Also, the patch can help. Buy him lots and lots of regular gum too. Whenever he wants one, distract him and suggest to do something.
My mom smoked for about 39 years. She quit in May. (She was 53)She was on the patch, and she is finally off the patch! She smoked 3 1/2 packs a day. She had to be rushed to the hospital because she couldn’t breathe and was having bad chest pains. The doctor told her she HAD to quit and she did. Don’t let your boyfriend end up in the same shoes as my mom.
